OSA: NSF Seeks Biosensing Research

(Applications Due: March 3, 2010) The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) is soliciting proposals for its Biosensing program. The program "supports innovative, transformative, and insightful investigations of fundamental problems with broad long term impact and applications that require novel use of bio-inspired engineering principles and sophisticated devices to meet the engineering and technology needs of the nation." An estimated five awards will be given, ranging from $300,000 to $600,000. The full proposal window is February 1, 2010, to March 3, 2010.
