DOD has issued a presolicitation announcement for the 2009.3 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I solicitation. Seven DoD components will participate in the 2009.3 solicitation: the Department of the Air Force, Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Missile Defense Agency, Defense Logistics Agency, and the Office of Secretary of Defense. Phase I awards, ranging between $70,000 and $100,000, will support testing the scientific, technical, and commercial merit of a particular concept. Eligibility is restricted to U.S. small businesses.
