Optics Day at CREOL, The College of Optics & Photonics

Every year CREOL hosts an open house event aimed at showing our local
community what we do - Optics! This year, to celebrate the 50th
anniversary of the first operational laser, we are expanding our event
into 2 days:

Friday, April 2nd
Optics Day - an educational experience in a broad array of optics
applications focusing on manifestations of the Laser. Come visit CREOL
and hear a talk about the impact of optical technologies in society, see
demonstrations, and join research lab tours. Targeted at all ages, from
kids to teachers to senior optical engineers.

Saturday, April 3rd
SPIE Regional Symposium - join young professionals and graduate students
in a day long mini-symposium at CREOL featuring technical talks about
future laser technologies and the art of communicating science.
Finally, network with graduate students, scientists, and engineers from
the southeastern US at a poster session of research and technology.

Visit our website
