Orlando Small Business Defense Procurement Summit

Overview

The Summit, which the U.S. Department of Defense is hosting in partnership with the City of Orlando and the Office of U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, is intended to: 1) provide Orlando metro area small businesses with a greater understanding of how to do business with the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal contracting agencies; and 2) facilitate small business networking opportunities and matchmaking sessions with major prime contractors and government contracting officials.

Agenda
The Summit will feature opening remarks by Mayor Buddy Dyer and Senator Bill Nelson, and a keynote address by Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics, Ashton B. Carter. Following these remarks, there will be government and industry panel discussions on how to do business with the U.S. Department of Defense and how to cultivate business-to-business relationships. These sessions are open to the public, including members of the media.

Matchmaking
The afternoon portion of the Summit will be devoted entirely to small business matchmaking with industry and government representatives. Participation in this portion of the Summit is limited to 300 small business attendees (first come, first served), and two (2) attendees per small business. Once this limit is reached, a waitlist will be implemented. This cap does NOT apply to large business and government officials who wish to participate in the matchmaking.

Registration
Registration for this event is required for all attendees and the registration fee is $55.00 per person. The registration fee includes morning coffee, lunch and an afternoon refreshment break, admission to all general sessions and matchmaking. To register, please click on the register now button.
