DARPA Soliciting R&D Proposals - Integrated Photonics

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting innovative R&D proposals the area of integrated photonics. The goal of this program is to develop a chip-scale, integrated photonic platform with “fiber-like” losses for optical delay applications. Multiple awards are anticipated; eligibility is unrestricted. Proposal abstracts are strongly encouraged and are due May 20, 2008; full proposals are due July 15, 2008.
