Gooch & Housego device to be featured on Mythbusters!

The OL731 USB Smart Detector, from the Life Sciences & Instrumentation division of Gooch & Housego, an FPC member company, will be featured on an upcoming episode of the Discover Channel's Mythbuster. The show, scheduled to air on Wednesday, June 22 at 9pm, is a science entertainment TV program in which the hosts use elements of the scientific method to test the validity of rumors, myths, movie scenes, adages, Internet videos, and news stories. The OL731 is a low-cost, hand-held radiometer/photometer that can be tailored to the spectral response of the user's specific application requirements with the use of a range of sensors and filters. It will be used in an experiment to see if a trick used to light an undeground chamber in a scene from The Mummy could actually have been performed or is a myth!
