The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has announced its intent to issue a solicitation to investigate prototype research for a Remote Explosive Detection System suitable for field testing, based on a NRL developed infrared photo-thermal breadboard system. It is anticipated that only one award will result from this procurement for a final prototype design and an option for building and testing the designed prototype.
