SPIE Optipedia -- new, free information resource

I just learned about an interesting new initiative at SPIE - "Optipedia". Optipedia takes pages directly from popular SPIE Press books and links them together to create an open-access resource for trusted optics and photonics information.

OptiPedia.org is launched! OptiPedia is an online wiki for Optics. It is a free optics encyclopedia with input from optics enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds. OptiPedia is dedicated to promoting accurate information about the foundation of optics, and members of the optics community are the best group of people to provide the most valuable and accurate information for such an encyclopedia since they have been studying and working in the field.
OptiPedia.org is not affiliated with SPIE.
