GlobalGiving, InnoCentive, and the Rockefeller Foundation have teamed up offering rewards of up to $40,000 in five areas to advance global water research and technologies. Eligibility is unrestricted for all five. Brief descriptions are provided below. More information is also available at:

Design of a Solar Water Treatment System based on TiO2 Nanoparticles - seeks theoretical solutions to the task of creating a low-cost water treatment system based on solar radiation and titanium dioxide. Responses need not create a prototype, only a design and supporting documentation. A $15,000 award will be made. More information is available at:
