NASA, DoD SBIR/STTR Postings

NASA’s Small Business Innovation Research Program/Small Business Technology Transfer Program is designed to stimulate technological innovation in the private sector; to strengthen the role of SBCs in meeting Federal research and development needs; to increase the commercial application of these research results; and to encourage participation of socially and economically disadvantaged persons and women-owned small businesses. DOD has issued a presolicitation announcement for the 2009.3 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I solicitation. Seven DoD components will participate in the 2009.3 solicitation: the Department of the Air Force, Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Missile Defense Agency, Defense Logistics Agency, and the Office of Secretary of Defense. Phase I awards, ranging between $70,000 and $100,000, will support testing the scientific, technical, and commercial merit of a particular concept. Eligibility is restricted to U.S. small businesses. Five DoD components will participate in the 2009.B solicitation: the Department of the Air Force, Department of the Navy, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Missile Defense Agency, and the Office of Secretary of Defense. Phase I awards, which may not exceed $100,000, will support testing the scientific, technical, and commercial merit of a particular concept. Partnerships between businesses and universities are required. Eligibility is restricted to U.S. small businesses. The full solicitation will be available on Jul 27.
